Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GarageBook mobile application ("the App") and this website, provided by GarageBook ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, signing in, or continuing to use the App you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. The App records your acceptance (with a timestamp) each time you register or sign in. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
GarageBook is intended for users 18 years of age or older. See our Children's Privacy Statement.
3. Your account & responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when you sign up.
- Keep your 4-digit PIN confidential and do not share it with anyone.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
Each account is for a single user. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, transfer your account, or impersonate someone else. For security, signing in on a new device ends sessions on other devices.
4. The service
GarageBook lets you register personal vehicles (cars, bikes, scooters, SUVs, trucks, autos), record expenses across supported categories, log fuel (with optional mileage derivation from a previous full-tank entry), track trips with linked trip expenses, and set document/service reminders. The App derives aggregates (totals, averages, cost-per-km, charts, and a downloadable PDF report) from your inputs.
5. Data accuracy & no advice
The information you add is user-provided. GarageBook does not verify it and is not responsible for incorrect figures, miscategorised expenses, or analytics resulting from inaccurate inputs. Analytics and reports are informational only and are not financial, tax, or legal advice.
6. Advertisements
Free accounts may see banner, native, interstitial, app-open and rewarded ads supplied by Google AdMob. Some features (exporting the analytics PDF and opening per-vehicle analytics) may require watching a short rewarded ad. See the Advertising Disclosure.
7. Subscription (not yet available)
A "Remove Ads" subscription is planned at a flat annual price. Until that release, no in-app purchases are processed. When introduced, billing will be handled by Google Play, and Google Play's renewal, cancellation, refund and tax rules will apply.
8. Acceptable use & prohibited activities
You agree to use the App for personal, non-commercial vehicle management only. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or signing keys.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any GarageBook system without prior written consent.
- Use the App to store unlawful data or content.
- Attempt to bypass ad gates, paywalls, or rate limits.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App or its data.

9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the App and this website — code, design, logos, copy, ad layouts, and the GarageBook brand — belongs to GarageBook. The data you enter remains yours; we receive a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the App for you. See the Copyright & IP Notice.
10. Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App relies on third-party infrastructure (cloud hosting, Google Play services, Google AdMob) and may experience outages outside our control.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, GarageBook disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GarageBook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend access for accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the service, or pose a security risk, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by following the Account Deletion process. On termination, account data may be retained only for the period necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be surfaced on next sign-in, and the "Last updated" date above will be kept current. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at [city, state — to be confirmed], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
